Some stuff about me...
I am a documentary media artist and my work tends to be about community and culture, and the ways in which they shape individual identities. My first film, Pointe, is an exploration of the life of the pointe shoe, from fabrication to the feet of professional ballerinas around the world.
I've contributed work to the DesignSponge, Food&_ , Californian Health Report, Museum of African Diaspora, Californians for Safety and Justice, to name a few.
Currently, I live in Stockton, California. I was the Multimedia Director for the mayoral campaign of Michael Tubbs, helping him become the youngest mayor of a city of more than 100,000 in American history. I also founded a pop-up community cinema called The Rom Com Club, which uses abandoned warehouses, vacant lots, and other underutilized buildings and turns them into movie theaters playing only romantic comedies. I'm a founding member of the Third City Coalition.
